The picnic took place during the COVID 19 restrictions on gatherings. The day started with the knowledge that in Durham region the total outdoor gathering size was maximum 100. Unfortunately, around midday Ontario Premier suddenly reduced that to be 25 people. This put the whole picnic in a dubious situation as the total expected guests were supposed to be 50 plus. Anyway, to be able to continue with the picnic without breaking the law and risk becoming subject to steep penalty, the guests were divided into two different sections. At the end, everything worked out very well and it turned out to be a pleasant experience.
